It all begins with an idea — whether you have one already, or need help talking through things. Some of our clients want to completely renovate their kitchen. Some want to refresh their master bath or finally finish the unfinished basement. Others come to us simply to change up the color palette and décor to suit changing tastes. Whatever it is, the team at Nouvelle Design Consulting can help you imagine a comfortable, memorable and inspiring solution.

Dream it.

Step one: Something has motivated you or an idea has been sparked. We will walk your space together, notebook in hand. We will listen to what is both inspiring you (and concerning you) about your potential project. Our team will ask questions, take photos and offer considerations. We will talk about your timeline and budget.

Design it.

Step two: Nouvelle will begin to imagine solutions and options for your project. They will put together inspiration photos, suggest color palettes, supply material samples and offer initial sketches. You will review these recommendations and provide feedback for refinement. We will narrow in on top choices and discuss trade-offs. From there, you have a clear and detailed master plan that accounts for the entire scope of your project.

Execute it.

Step three: Each project is unique, as are the requirements to get it done. Our typical project usually involves contractors, some level of construction and installation. Or, in the case of decorating, we’ll complete the interior styling. Our team partners with you through the bid, selection and shopping process to help you find the right matches. We maintain a partnership through the design build out, to ensure quality and that the work is aligned to the design (or decorating) plan.

  • Estimated investment varies by project. Nouvelle will charge a $250 consultation deposit for the first home visit, which will apply forward to your project if you proceed. Following that meeting, Nouvelle will supply estimated hours and fees to develop the detailed creative design proposal. Our hourly rate is $150. Additional phases of work and Nouvelle involvement are discussed and mutually agreed to following this step and are estimated at an hourly rate. Nouvelle invoices monthly. 

  • Project duration can vary based on the plan requirements. Timelines are determined by existing Nouvelle commitments, contractor schedules and supply chain / materials availability. Expect for projects to typically have a minimum 4-week start up phase.
